• First of all, open the web browser in your system and type ‘www.routerlogin.com’ to open the Netgear web interface. You can also use the default IP address of the router i.e. 192.168.1.1 to 
• open it. If you can’t able to open it with the default address then use the command prompt utility to find the correct IP address.
• After opening it, enter your username and password into the given text fields and click OK to log into your interface.
• Then click on Wireless Settings from the Setup section of the left pane to see all the settings of the Wi-Fi connection.
• Then choose one of the security options from the options section and enter the passcode into the text field. You can choose WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK depending upon the model, both are good to protect your network.

• To change the administrator code, log into your interface and select Set password from the maintenance section of the left pane. 
• Then enter the old password and the new one into the text field. Then click on Apply to save the changes.
